With all the hoopla surrounding the strange quadriceps injury that has kept Kawhi Leonard off the basketball floor for most of this season, both the San Antonio Spurs and Leonard's camp are reportedly frustrated about the situation.

They're so frustrated, in fact, that Leonard has been characterized as being “disconnected” from the team. The story sent shockwaves around the NBA media, with many calling into question the relationship between player and team — even mentioning head coach Gregg Popovich and Leonard.

In the latest comments about the situation, ESPN's Jalen Rose delivered yet another bombshell on the show First Take on Tuesday morning.

” I hate to say this: Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio is what I'm hearing,” Rose said. “And the reason why is ten-fold.”

The show's star, Stephen A. Smith, backed up Rose's comments.

“I'm hearing the same thing,” Smith said.

Rose said he thinks the reason Leonard wants out is because the Spurs haven't had success in bringing All-Star talent to play with him. He chalks that up to the Spurs being an organization where a player has to adapt to the Spurs way, and in his opinion, players want to win their way.

Rose also said the handling of Leonard's injury could be one of the main drivers of Leonard's feelings.

When the news broke, Bill Simmons of the Ringer gave his thoughts on Twitter.

There are only two words that can effectively describe this situation succinctly: Oh boy.

If Leonard wants out and he gets what he wants, that team is doomed. Yes it has LaMarcus Aldridge and some young pieces — but still — they're doomed.

Popovich is going to have to intervene and see if he can get Leonard back on the same page.
