The date when San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan will make his return to Canada to face the Toronto Raptors has been set and it comes with a hefty price tag.

DeRozan and the Spurs will visit the Scotiabank Arena on February 22, 2019. Fans have to shell out at least $180 to get to see their former franchise player battle the Kawhi Leonard-led Raptors. As posted by Raptors Nation on their Twitter account, the fans need to start saving now if they want to see the game live and up close.

DeRozan has been nothing but an exemplary figure during his time in Toronto. There is no animosity between him and the fans and he has not requested any trade before. However, he was included in a package with Jakob Poeltl and a 2019 first-round draft pick in exchange for disgruntled Spurs star Kawhi Leonard.

In fact, DeRozan quickly aired his sentiments on social media upon learning that he got traded. He was assured he won't be shipped elsewhere but professional basketball management is still a business and general manager Masai Ujiri felt he had to do something to break the monotony in Toronto.

DeRozan averaged 19.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game while suiting up for the Raptors. He has spent nearly a decade of his career there so it makes sense that there is nostalgia in his return.
