If James Harrison were a bit younger, people would be writing think-pieces about a Millennial ruining the Pittsburgh Steelers or something.

Those pesky Millennials.

Anyway, James Harrison has recently admitted that he regrets signing with the team. Basically, had he known he would have been riding the pine, he never would have scribbled his name on a contract to play with the team.

Harrison told Michele Tafoya of NBC that if he had known he wasn’t going to play much this season, he would not have signed with the Steelers.

“Oh, yeah,” Harrison told Tafoya. “Who wants to not play?”

In all seriousness, a non-veteran would be getting killed for this. People would yell about “earning time on the field” and all that jazz. However, because Harrison comes with experience and credibility, his whining is being met with minds that are far more open.

To be fair to him, it is earned. Context is important. And the context here is that Harrison is a Pittsburgh legend. At the same time, maybe the coaching stuff was unaware that he wouldn't be playing as much. Did they even think some of the younger guys would be this ready to fill the void?

I don't know. Do you?

Either way, Harrison seems unhappy.
