Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been haunted by a knee injury in the past few weeks. While it didn't cause him to miss any of the team's games, it certainly affected his mobility which turned out to be a major concern for the Steelers organization, as per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

The team is currently utilizing the ball more in their last two games which accounted for a whopping total of 104 passes. Roethlisberger threw 51 passes for 266 yards and a touchdown in their Week 13 tilt against the Baltimore Ravens which they barely won via a 19-14 victory.

In the following week, he then chalked up a total of 53 passes for 305 yards and two passing touchdowns against the Washington Football Team. The Steelers' running game was virtually non-existent as ball-carrier Anthony McFarland led the rushing corps with 15 yards on four carries.

Roethlisberger's efforts under center eventually went down the drain as their opponents put up a scoring rampage in the final frame to pull off a 23-17 upset and ultimately spoil their supposed perfect season.

While they have been barely getting by in recent weeks, the Steelers are concerned that their offensive schemes are getting too predictable given Roethlisberger's limited mobility.

The looming return of both veteran center Maurkice Pouncey and RB1 James Conner from the team's reserve/COVID-19 list should eventually shake things up for the Steelers' offense in their coming games.

With their previous immaculate record now tainted with a loss, the Steelers are hoping to get back on the win column and avoid another letdown against another tough playoff contender in the Buffalo Bills.
