The Pittsburgh Steelers' signed general manager Kevin Colbert to a two-year contract extension on Thursday. According to Michael McClymont of TheScore, Colbert's deal is scheduled to run through the 2020 NFL Draft.

Colbert has been with the team since 2000, spending the first 11 years as the team's director of football operations and the last seven as the general manager.

During his tenure, Colbert has been apart of three Super Bowl appearances, including two championships (2005 and 2008).

In his latest move, Colbert traded for San Francisco 49ers tight end Vance McDonald and signed cornerback Joe Haden after he was released by the Cleveland Browns.

Steelers' fans chimed in on Twitter and showed their joy for Colbert getting a well-deserved contract extension.

Also, this may be a surprise to many, but disgruntled running back Le'Veon Bell congratulated Colbert as well on Twitter.

That's a good sign for Steelers Nation. Bell shows that there is no bad blood between him and Colbert.

Still, Bell and Steelers can't negotiate a deal until after the 2017 season with the Franchise Tag deadline passing. One thing we do know is that he will be returning to the Steelers' facility to sign his franchise tender and resume team activity.
