Through his first two seasons, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has proven to be one of the league's brightest young stars at his position.
He has continued to produce at a high level in his second campaign to be among the most productive wide receivers in the NFL. According to Pro-Football-Reference, Smith-Schuster has blown away the record for most receiving yards for a player before their 22nd birthday.
Smith-Schuster has quickly emerged as one of the primary weapons in the passing game for the Steelers in his first two seasons. He has taken off to the next level in the 2018 campaign, as he currently holds team-best marks with 77 catches for 1,055 receiving yards along with four touchdowns.
This season has seen him top 100 receiving yards six times with his season-high 189 receiving yards on 13 receptions and a touchdown coming in last Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Denver Broncos. He is on pace to finish with 112 receptions for 1,535 receiving yards and six touchdowns, which would be career-best numbers aside from touchdowns.
He has added another strong factor to the passing game alongside All-Pro wideout Antonio Brown, which has taken their offense to the next level.
The Steelers will continue to rely heavily on Smith-Schuster over the final stretch of the regular season as one of their primary offensive factors with their eyes on securing yet another AFC North division title and possibly earning a first-round playoff bye. Beyond that, it is clear that the former USC product has a bright future ahead of him as a cornerstone for the franchise.
