The winner of the Antonio Brown sweepstakes could be decided by the end of this week. Even before it's over, though, one team has supposedly positioned itself as the overwhelming favorite to land the six-time Pro Bowler from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports she was told by a league insider that the Steelers' steep asking price has made it a “one-team race” to acquire Brown.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, meanwhile, reported on Wednesday that the Steelers are telling interested teams to make their best offer for the stranded superstar wide receiver before it's too late. He also noted that three new teams have jumped into the mix for Brown, while the New York Jets, initially considered a favorite, and Arizona Cardinals no longer have interest.

Multiple sources reported earlier this week that the Oakland Raiders covet Brown more than any other team in the league. Derek Carr poured fuel on that fire recently, too, saying “I hope” the Raiders trade for Brown. Could they be the team leading the “one-horse race?” It seems we're likely to find out soon enough.

Brown requested a trade last month following a 2018 season in which he routinely clashed with Steelers players and coaches, including superstar quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and longtime head coach Mike Tomlin. He also met with team owner Art Rooney II in late February, saying afterward that both sides “agreed that it is time to move on.”

The 30 year old had another stellar season in 2018 despite a lack of team success, catching 104 catches for 1,297 yards and a league-leading 15 touchdowns.
