Be advised: if you point your finger, Cameron Heyward, of the Pittsburgh Steelers, will break it.

The Steelers are 0-3. With their winless record, the pointing of the fingers begins. Heyward makes it clear that no one in their locker room can point fingers or take the blame alone. Their slow start isn't an individual thing; it's a team one.

Said Heyward, via Brian Batko of Post-Gazette Sports:

It's real easy not to point fingers here. You look at our tape, there are mistakes everywhere. So, for any guy pointing the finger, I'll break their damn finger if they do.”

That settles that.

If a finger is pointed, it should be in the direction of a team that has lost many of their great players as of late. Running back Le'Veon Bell is long-gone, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is out for the season, Antonio Brown: insert blank face emoji.

Nevertheless, Pittsburgh is struggling. They've gotten out to their worst start in the Mike Tomlin era and are witnessing their playoff hopes dwindle away. However, there is hope for happy Sundays in the near future.

In Week 4, the Steelers are hosting the Cincinnati Bengals for a “Monday Night Football” game the features two 0-3 teams. After facing three teams with a combined record of 7-2, Heyward and Co. should be elated to battle a team that hasn't found much success to start 2019.

Though the Steelers are reeling, they aren't going to be in tank mode (see: trading 2020 first-round pick for Minkah Fitzpatrick). Tomlin isn't the coach to do that nor is the Pittsburgh franchise. However, if they want to avoid that perception, they'll need to clear those mistakes Heyward mentions.
