The couple has been dating since 2017, and they are now ready to take their relationship to the next level. Details of the upcoming wedding have yet to be released, but we expect Bird and Rapinoe to tie the knot sooner rather than later. Maybe a wedding some time in 2021 is forthcoming – pandemic-willing?

Bird and Rapinoe represent one of the most prominent couples in all of sports. Bird is a legend in the WNBA, having been with the Seattle Storm for 17 seasons. The 5-foot-9 guard is an 11-time All-Star, who just recently, secured the WNBA title with the Storm last season. That was Bird's fourth championship of her career. She holds career averages of 12.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.3 steals, with 1.7 triples per game. Bird is a shoo-in to the Basketball Hall of Fame.

For her part, Rapinoe is key member of the United States Women's National Soccer Team. She won a gold medal with the team in the 2019 World Cup. Rapinoe scored a number of key goals for the squad en route to their historic title win, and she has since become a strong advocate for social equality in sports.

Best wishes to this awesome couple.
