The Connecticut Sun take on the Las Vegas Aces. Our WNBA odds series has our Sun Aces prediction, odds, and pick. Find out how to watch Sun Aces.

The Connecticut Sun still have the best record in the WNBA at 13-1. They continue to do what they are supposed to do. It might seem unremarkable, but it has the Sun in position to contend for the WNBA championship. Critics will say that the Sun have not played the toughest schedule in the league, which is true, but teams can only defeat the opponents which are put in front of them on a given day. The Sun are taking care of business against the lower half of the WNBA. The other teams in the league haven’t won all the games they were expected to win. The New York Liberty lost at home to the Chicago Sky. The Minnesota Lynx and Seattle Storm have lost to the Phoenix Mercury. The Sun’s only loss is to the Liberty, the team many people think is the best in the WNBA. This is a team which knows how to handle its business, move on to the next game, and avoid letdowns or a general sense of overconfidence. The Sun have become a trustworthy team through five weeks of WNBA regular-season play.

The Las Vegas Aces might be back on track. They welcomed guard Chelsea Gray back to their lineup earlier this week in a home-court win over the Seattle Storm. The Aces were energized and full of intensity against the Storm. They steadily controlled the game and prevailed, 94-83. They covered the spread and looked convincing. This team might be ready to reclaim its elite standard as the defending champion of the WNBA. Chelsea Gray being back in the rotation frees up the other players on the roster and reduces the workload for everyone. This game against the 13-1 Sun might tell us a lot about where the Aces truly are with Gray back in the lineup.

Why The Sun Could Cover The Spread

Connecticut isn’t a flashy or dazzling team, but it is a dependable one. Game after game, the Sun continue to do the job. If they play the New York Liberty in a five-game series, they would probably not be favored, but they are better than all the other non-New York teams in the WNBA. The Aces do have Chelsea Gray back in the lineup, but the changes in the Aces’ rotation should lead to some uneven stretches in which everyone adjusts to the different roles and minutes allocations created by Gray’s return. The Aces did look good against Seattle the other night, but there are bound to be some hiccups in the first week with Gray in the lineup.

Why The Aces Could Cover The Spread

The Aces are back and have a winning hand once again. There’s a full deck of cards for Vegas with Chelsea Gray back in the lineup. This team looked a lot more like the defending WNBA champions in the 11-point win over the Storm. The Aces already had a lot of good players, but plugging Gray into the rotation restores some of what this team had been missing in its sluggish start to the season. Playing at home, the Aces — who were fired up against Seattle — should be similarly buzzing with vibrant vigor against Connecticut. You know Vegas will take the court with something to prove. That should fuel the Aces and lead them to a blowout win.

Final Sun-Aces Prediction & Pick

The Aces are better with Chelsea Gray back, but they probably will go through some lulls just because they’re still in an adjustment phase. Stay away from this game and wait for a live play.
