Incoming second-year swingman Mikal Bridges is already spending some time with new Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams.

The 22-year-old Bridges is excited about what the coach brings to the table and believes that he's going to be great. Per Cody Cunningham of Suns.com, the 10th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft shared his impression of Williams who, just just like him, is all about winning.

“Real good coach. Real good guy, too,” Bridges said about Williams. “You know he’s serious about his work and what he wants to do. I’m excited. I know he’s all about winning and that’s what I’m about too.”

Bridges also believe that the 47-year-old Williams, who has over two decades worth of NBA experience as player and coach, will maximize the Suns' potential. Phoenix is one of the youngest teams in the league — a team filled with first-round picks who all have the capacity to be great.

“I know what he’s going to want out of all of us,” Bridges added. “He’s going to push us and I think that’s what we need is people to push us to be really good, be great. I feel like he’s the right person.”

Indeed, it will be an interesting offseason for the Suns. Success has evaded them for almost a decade, but with the hiring of Williams, they're looking to change all that.
