Syracuse Orange head coach Jim Boeheim suffered a scare earlier this month when his wife, Juli Boeheim, was robbed at gunpoint in a shopping center in New York. Now, the police have arrested a 12-year-old boy in relation to the incident, per TMZ Sports.

The boy tried to reach into her car and take her purse, but failed and eventually took off in a car with three other men. The cops have charged him robbery, grand larceny, and criminal possession of a weapon, although it was an airgun.

The Syracuse boss, Jim Boeheim, revealed a few days after the incident that he was very scared for his wife's wellbeing. Thankfully, she ended up being okay and was even seen cheering on the Orange in the ACC Tournament this week, where they lost to Duke on Thursday without Buddy Boeheim due to suspension.

However, Syracuse struggled this season and finished at 16-17, which means they aren't even going to make the NCAA Tournament. It's unfortunate, but at least Jim Boeheim can know his wife is alive and well following the scary turn of events. The most concerning part of it all though is why a 12-year-old was trying to rob a woman. Definitely seems a bit off.
