Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has easily become one of the most polarizing players in the NFL. Former wide receiver T.J. Housmanzadeh feels his boisterous personality will catch up to him at some point.

Mayfield made headlines for his antics towards his former head coach Hue Jackson last week. Houshmandzadeh revealed what he thinks opposing players should do to humble him down a bit during an appearance on The Herd:

“If I was a defensive player on any team, I would take a fine. I would hit him so late on purpose, like shut up.”

Houshmandzadeh's comments may seem a bit harsh. However, they should come as no surprise considering he spent the majority of his career hating the Browns as a member of the Bengals. It appears Mayfield's antics towards Jackson may have rubbed him the wrong way.

Regardless of whether or not one is a fan of Mayfield, there is no denying he has gotten off to a promising start in Cleveland. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft has helped jump-start this Browns franchise back into relevancy after winning five of their last six games. Although they were officially eliminated from the playoffs last week, Cleveland is still intent on ending Baltimore's hopes for the postseason.

Mayfield has always seemingly thrived when he plays with a chip on his shoulder. Perhaps all his extra attention toward Jackson is just an attempt at a new source of motivation. There is no denying that his personality will help maintain the high level of intrigue in the AFC North for years to come.
