Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has one of the best wide receivers in the league in DeAndre Hopkins at his disposal. The two were able to connect a lot even in Watson’s injury-shortened rookie season. Watson and his No. 2 receiver, Will Fuller, didn’t spend as much time together due to their respective injuries, but when they were on the same field, they were incredibly explosive.

In the four games the two played together last season, they teamed up for seven touchdowns. Watson believes that the prospect of him and the versatile playmaker doing that over a full season is a scary one for opposing defenses.

“Will Fuller [is] very versatile,” Watson said per Sarah Barshop of ESPN. “He can go deep, short. He's a guy [that] once you get the ball in his hands, he's deadly. For him to be able to play all 16 games and myself to play all 16 games and to keep everyone healthy … it's very scary.

Fuller has shown flashes of the potential that made him a first-round pick by the Texans in 2016. However, he’s been inconsistent and a bit too boom-or-bust in his first two years in the league. It should be noted that after his hot start upon returning last season, he failed to get a touchdown grab in the last six games without Watson.

Hopefully for Houston, the presence of a healthy Watson can help Fuller find that consistency he’s been lacking. And in turn, Fuller can provide Watson with that versatility and explosive big-play ability that can take the Texans offense to another level this season.
