Throughout his stellar professional career, the Thunder's Carmelo Anthony has proven time and time again that he is one of the best scorers in NBA history. He has never averaged fewer than 20 points per game in 15 seasons, and on Thursday night made history, he moved up to 24th on the league’s all-time scoring list. He passed his former teammate with the Denver Nuggets, Allen Iverson, and could still climb the ladder, as he is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Despite being 32 years old now, the 10-time All-Star is still causing a lot of nightmare matchups for his defenders in every game he plays in. Now with the Oklahoma City Thunder, he’s shown so far that he can co-exist with the two other superstars in their team, Russell Westbrook and Paul George. He is once again producing impressive numbers of 20.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 32.4 minutes per game heading into Thursday's contest.

If he keeps up this pace, the Thunder could live up to expectations that they are serious title contenders this season. It could also lead to a big chance for them to win a title, which will be the first in Anthony’s career, which would further strengthen his case as an all-time great.
