Oklahoma City Thunder teammates Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are shooting the ball at an impressive clip in the closing minutes of tightly-contested games this season.

According to a report from ESPN's Zach Lowe, Paul and Gilgeous-Alexander have combined for a 47.4 percent (53-of-90) mark from the field in the last five minutes of games with the score within 5 points:

The Thunder got off to a shaky start to this season, but the team seems to be coming together now. OKC has won seven of its last eight games, with Gilgeous-Alexander leading in the scoring department at 19.8 points per outing. Paul, who was acquired in a trade with the Rockets before the start of this campaign, is leading his team in assists (6.5) and steals (1.6).

Oklahoma City managed to climb from a seven point deficit in the closing minutes of Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks to claim a 106-101 victory. Thunder vet Paul scored 13 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter alone and added eight rebounds and seven assists. Dallas led by as many as 12 points in the first half. Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

The Thunder have won seven of their last eight games to move into seventh place in the Western Conference. During that stretch, they've also had comebacks from 26, 24 and 18 points down to win.

Oklahoma City will be back in action on Thursday night, when they'll take on the Spurs in San Antonio. Tip-off inside the AT&T Center is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
