Star forward Paul George of the Oklahoma City Thunder is just like us: he has a New Years' resolution.

Per Royce Young of ESPN, George intends to acquire more free throw attempts. The first step, of course, is to figure out how to do it:

The 28-year-old is a career 84.4 percent shooter from the charity stripe. This season, he's at a decent 83.6 clip and goes to the line 5.9 times and makes 4.9 of them. His total attempts per game rank 13th overall in the NBA as of this writing — tied with Danilo Gallinari of the L.A. Clippers and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks.

Among small forwards, George is fourth behind Kawhi Leonard (7.3) of the Toronto Raptors, Kevin Durant (7.7) of the Golden State Warriors, and LeBron James (7.8) of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Given these statistics and Paul George's rankings, it's a scary predicament for those who'll face him in the future. After all, the Thunder star is having his best season so far. He's averaging career bests in several statistical categories: points per game (26.6), rebounds (8.3), assists (4.2), steals (2.2).

George's willingness to improve more and more is a clear indication that he's not satisfied with how he's performing. He's already considered one of the elites in the NBA — one of the few who can score and defend at a high level. It's crazy to think about what else can George do.
