Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook has officially moved ahead of Scottie Pippen as the all-time leader in steals on Christmas Day.

Russell Westbrook is having yet another productive season in Oklahoma City, as he entered Tuesday's matchup against the Houston Rockets averaging 20.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 10.3 assists per game.

However, he added to his already incredible list of feats by eclipsing the former Chicago Bulls star by earning his 25th career steal in games taking place on Christmas.

Westbrook, who had four total steals at the half against the Rockets, has had no trouble racking up plenty of steals on the year.

He entered the game with at least four steals in five of the past seven games, and it's likely no coincidence that the Thunder have won the majority of those matchups. His energy on both sides of the court continues to give this team a major boost, and it's been that way since he entered the league 10 years ago.

Oklahoma City has earned a 21-11 record to this point in the season, with Westbrook and company earning victories in four of their last five games.

After a 0-4 start, many wondered exactly how this team would respond moving forward, but they've been just fine in managing to hit the 20-win plateau with just over 30 games played.

The upcoming schedule will still present some challenges, as after the game in Houston, the Thunder will get a few days off before hitting the road to take on the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.

After that, it's back-to-back games against the Dallas Mavericks to ring in the new year.
