With the NBA training camp set to begin in a few days, it looks like Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is still not over Chris Paul getting traded to the Phoenix Suns.

CP3 recently took to Instagram to share a photo of his physical condition heading into his 15th NBA season. While most of Paul's followers wished him luck next year, his former Thunder teammate dropped a hilarious retort on the comment section.

Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander certainly developed a mentor-mentee relationship in their one-year stint as teammates with the Thunder last year. There's no bad blood between the two and it was likely just some light-hearted banter from SGA to the old-timer.

Gilgeous-Alexander flourished under CP3's wing last season, as he tallied sensational averages of 19.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3,3 assists and 1.1 steal, while shooting 47.3 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from distance.

Paul didn't do so bad himself, proving he is still an elite point guard by recording 17.6 points on 48.9 percent shooting from the field and 36.5 percent from deep, along with 5.0 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.6 steals. That phenomenal backcourt was greatly responsible for the Thunder's overachieving ways in 2019-20, finishing fifth in the Western Conference despite just losing superstars Russell Westbrook and Paul George.

In a way, Shai's emergence allowed the Thunder brass to explore their options with Paul and his massive contract. OKC knows they are in good hands with SGA, who proved last year that he can be a franchise player moving forward. Paul, meanwhile, still stayed in the Western Conference so he'll have plenty of chances to bump into his understudy in the regular season.
