New Oklahoma City Thunder forward Carmelo Anthony has seen a revitalizing change after leaving the New York Knicks after six seasons in the Big Apple, but has continued one of his signature call outs on defense when he's about to get a rebound.

The 33-year-old forward can be heard saying “I got it, get the f*** out of here.” or “I got that s***” when pulling down boards on the defensive end, as well as “gimme that” when ensnaring offensive boards on the low block.

While this may not seem typical, players like Kevin Garnett and Charles Barkley have been known to have these gimmicks during a game, as part of their usual verbal repertoire.

Carmelo Anthony has been a prolific rebounder during his career, pulling down 6,430 rebounds during his 14 years in the league, though his rebounding average slipped to below six per game for only the second time in his career, making 2016-17 the only season where he's failed to average at least one offensive board per game.

While there's no motivation to say something like that, Melo has often been the ball-handler in all situations, even bringing the ball from the other end of the court, making that the most likely reasoning the catchy “get the f*** out of here” has stuck around through his career.
