Russell Westbrook is perhaps one of the most, if not the most, animated superstars the NBA has to offer. From pregame to postgame, the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard is consistently lit.

During the Thunder's Thursday night matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, Westbrook was being himself and more. While on the bench, the former Most Valuable Player was seen having a light moment with the Rip City crowd, telling them to zip it.

Of course, there's no way the crowd's going to adhere to Westbrook's request but it was still an entertaining moment at the least. And yes, it would be a crime to not acknowledge Steven Adams' stoic presence behind his teammate despite not having anything to do with Westbrook's antic.

Take away this instance, though, and fans have for themselves a terrific matchup between two Western Conference powerhouses.

The Thunder and Blazers are certain to have eyes on one another beyond this game as they're both figured in a tight race for homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz are also hovering around but it gets crazier, as a surprise skid could have one of them falling to the eighth seed.
