Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is not one to shy away from speaking his mind. As a matter of fact, it seems that he says some things with the sole intention of getting on peoples' nerves.

This is exactly what Barkley did recently during Katy Perry's concert in Minnesota for the National Championship Game. The 56-year-old blatantly told the crowd that he believes the “Timberwolves suck!”

It's just funny how people were cheering on the former MVP winner as he was praising the hospitable nature of the city of Minnesota, but how they almost instantaneously turned on Barkley following a curt, yet very straightforward statement.

You could see it in his reaction that Barkley was really trying to egg on the crowd. Well, he got his wish, as the Wolves fans in attendance nearly booed him off the stage.

While he was indeed being a bit disrespectful with his over-the-top statement, the Timberwolves did not exactly have the best of seasons this year. After successfully securing a playoff berth last season after an extended drought, this season was a step back for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves are by no means bottom-dwellers in the conference, but they were eliminated from playoff contention rather early on. It's going to be a busy summer for the team, with the objective of being able to turn it around again next season, and in the process, make Charles Barkley eat his words.
