The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have become one of the more exciting topics throughout the NFL. Rob Gronkowski is rounding into form, as Tom Brady and the Buccaneers have figured out how to get him back to looking like his old self.

On the daily Locked On Bucs Podcast, host David Harrison was joined by Chris Clark of Locked On Chiefs to discuss the matchup between the Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. Part of the conversation was about how Gronkowski is returning to his former self:

Harrison: Rob, early on, you could tell the rust was there. You could tell the lack of football playing for the year before that. You can tell that he and Tom are getting reacclimated to playing together. Both with a new team. Both with a new scheme. Both with new coaches.

Then, gradually week-by-week, this past week they didn’t get used as much as they probably wanted to. They did not connect as much as they want to but week-to-week you see the old Gronk is coming back. That’s what you want to see with that old talent and old connection coming back with some of those old injuries that he suffered in the past. That’s where you see some of these other weapons like AB, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin being healthy can help the Buccaneers keep Gronk healthier for the playoffs and hopefully January football.

As far as Antonio Brown, everything that we are hearing and everything that we’ve seen physically, he’s a guy that’s going out there and working. You’ve seen a little bit of swagger when he gets a first-down catch or something. You see a little bit of that and that excitement to be back on the field. As far as what we’re being told and what’s coming out of one Buc, he’s just being a good teammate and worker and he’s got his nose down and his head down. Hopefully, he’s going to make it through the remainder of the civil litigation that he’s got so he can stay with the team.
