The women’s US Open is over. Naomi Osaka defeated Victoria Azarenka, winning the entire shebang, resulting in many people around the world going bonkers with joy.
Only 22, she made an amazing comeback to win, defeating Azarenka 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the US Open final. With the victory, it’s her second win in Flushing Meadows and the third Grand Slam win for Naomi Osaka.
Let’s take a look at some beautiful bean footage, eh?

Oddly enough, it was only a month ago Victoria Azarenka toppled Naomi Osaka Western & Southern Open — which was literally held at the same site as the US Open due to, you know, a global pandemic and the want to limit travel given everything happening in the world.
For those unaware, it’s a lot!
Also of note, outside a huge victory, is how Osaka used her platform. Whenever donning a face mask, it featured a victim of police brutality. Here’s a tweet from The Undefeated that highlights some of it:
Naomi Osaka brought seven face masks to the US Open.
Each mask highlights a different Black victim of racial injustice and police brutality.

According to Yahoo, the parents of both Trayvon Martin and Ahmaud Arbery thanked Osaka in a video for sending the message.
“I feel like I’m a vessel, at this point, in order to spread awareness. It’s not going to dull the pain, but hopefully I can help with anything that the need.” Osaka said after seeing the video.
Anyway, that’s the. The US Open is over and Naomi Osaka captures title over Victoria Azarenka.
