Yes, James did take an elbow to the face during Game 3's loss to the Raptors (albeit by his teammate Tristan Thompson), but his subsequent fall backward is what many fans and members of the media are referring to as a nice piece of acting.

The hilarious basketball impersonator Brandon Armstrong decided to capitalize on the moment by mocking James' big fall, only this time, it lasted a little longer.
