Despite currently sidelined and recovering from a ruptured Achilles, New Orleans Pelicans big man DeMarcus Cousins still appears to be in good spirits. He made an appearance during the team’s morning shootaround ahead of their matchup against the L.A. Clippers on Tuesday, and proved that he can still knock down shots.

While seated on the bench, the four-time All-Star was still able to drain his attempt from distance, and was seen smiling, while having fun with his teammates. He posted the video on his Instagram account, which has already been liked more than 100,000 times as of this writing.

DeMarcus Cousins suffered the devastating injury during their game against the Chicago Bulls on January 22nd. He immediately limped off the court and was asked to undergo some tests to check on the exact condition of his heel. The Pelicans then shared the news with the public and announced that he will miss the remainder of the season.

The former Kentucky star was enjoying another solid campaign, averaging 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.6 blocks in 36.2 minutes.

Cousins appeared in 48 games this season, helping his team to a winning record.

If there’s any good news for him and the Pelicans at this point, they are still in fourth place in the tough Western Conference, and are looking to be on their way to making the postseason. Even without Cousins, they have managed to continue winning, led by Anthony Davis, who is expected to lead their charge throughout the regular season and playoffs.
