Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has had a whirlwind of a week.

Theilen tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, only to register a negative on Tuesday. The negative test did not guarantee Thielen would be able to practice or suit up in Week 12, however.

Indeed, Thielen is not expected to be available for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, per ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler.

Kirk Cousins will be without his top receiver, who ripped the Dallas Cowboys to shreds last weekend.

Thielen hauled in eight catches for 123 yards and two scores, including a sensational one-handed touchdown grab in the third quarter.

Thielen's efforts were not enough, as the Vikings fell to the Cowboys in a 31-28 thriller, ending their three-game winning streak.

The two-time Pro Bowler has had a hard time building momentum this year, and this latest absence is unlikely to help matters.

Thielen's year got off to a strong start as he had six catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers. After a pair of down games, he had another 100-yard performance against the Houston Texans in Week 5, then scored two touchdowns against the Seattle Seahawks the following weekend.

But things had been a bit of a struggle up until Thielen's thrashing of the Cowboys. He averaged just three catches and under 40 yards per game between Week 6 and Week 10, though he did have three touchdown grabs.

All the same, Cousins and the rest of the Vikings' offense will look to make do without Thielen as they hope to get back on the winning track against the Panthers.
