The Minnesota Vikings find themselves in a must-win situation going into the 2018 NFL season finale versus the Chicago Bears. Former NFL wide receiver Greg Jennings feels this is a defining game for quarterback Kirk Cousins.

The spotlight has not been kind to Cousins throughout his career. Jennings said during an appearance on The Herd that this week is undoubtedly the biggest game of his career:

“This is the biggest game of Kirk Cousins career. Period!”

“He's been in the playoffs before. This is the biggest game of his career because of the money he was given and what comes with that. He has to win come Sunday versus the Bears.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Jennings' comments. A loss this week could have serious implications on their postseason fate with the Philadelphia Eagles hot on their heels. It will also add further speculation regarding Cousins' status as a legitimate franchise quarterback.

It is no secret that Cousins has struggled in primetime games. This has raised questions regarding whether or not Minnesota made the right decision by signing him to an $84 million deal. Despite his solid numbers, he has largely failed to give the Vikings any bang for their buck due to his inability to win any crucial games.

However, all will be forgiven if Cousins can help Minnesota secure a victory over Chicago on Sunday. He could not ask for a more formidable opponent than the Bears' top-ranked defense. While it could be the biggest game of his career up to this point, that could very well change if the Vikings make the playoffs.
