During the second round of the NFL Draft, fans got to see one of the more hilariously frustrating moments of the event. The Minnesota Vikings had actor and former running back Ed Marinaro announce one of their picks. However, Marinaro seemed to forget that there was a time factor in the announcement… and he went on for a pretty long time.

Eventually, Marinaro would be asked by a producer to speed up his announcement. That didn't save the ex-Vikings running back from being mocked by fans on Twitter though. On Saturday night, Marinaro sounded off on Twitter with a viciously worded tweet against his “haters”.

NFL teams having other people announce their picks in the draft isn't anything new. From WWE superstars to Make-A-Wish kids, we've seen it all in terms of announcements. The Vikings probably thought they were getting a run-of-the-mill presentation from Marinaro. Boy, were they in for a treat.

As for the draft itself, the Vikings didn't do anything too drastic. However, the front office did draw the ire of some fans by trading with their division rivals Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. That allowed both teams to nab Jameson Williams and Christian Watson, respectively. It remains to be seen how this move pays off for Minnesota in the long run.

For now, though, the Vikings will be focused on their upcoming training camp. This season might be their best opportunity to snag a division title, with the Packers losing Davante Adams and the Bears and Lions both in rebuilding mode. Can they capitalize on this golden opportunity?
