Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was an eyesore on Sunday as the Vikings lost to a disappointing Atlanta Falcons squad. Cousins' rush to judgment, as stated by Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, contributed to his lackluster outing (via ESPN's Courtney Cronin).

Cousins' ugly start to the game did little to help the Vikings initiate a comeback against a Falcons squad that has little hopes so far in the season. Though he finished the game with three touchdowns, he also threw an equal amount of interceptions in that same breath. If all for nothing, many spectators assumed that Cousins may find himself on the bench going into the second half — though that didn't occur.

After recently signing a two-year contract extension with the Vikings in March, the veteran QB now looks to be a flight risk for the Vikings front office. The 32-year old quarterback actually leads the league in interceptions at 10. Cousins recently admitted after the loss to the Falcons that he's aware that his job could be on the line if he continues to fail at protecting the ball and bettering his passing.

“The reality is if the pace I'm on in terms of the interceptions, if that were to continue, I won't finish the season,” Cousins stated following the loss. “I won't — you know what I mean? There's a little bit of, you got to improve.”

For what it's worth, his performances throughout the season haven't been atrocious aside from his curse of throwing interceptions. He's completed 64.6 percent of his passes for 1,475 yards and 11 touchdowns. Though if his unfortunate luck of throwing picks continue, Zeller may have to look at alternative options, as the Vikings can't afford to be figuratively thrown out of the game anymore.
