The NBA Finals are almost here and it's a familiar matchup for fans.
The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers both overcame 3-2 deficits in the conference finals and won road Game 7s to advance to their fourth straight NBA Finals.
And now the odds are slowly coming out about which team has the best chance to win it all and who might win the Finals MVP award.
The website 538 is known for its predictions and it came out with chances for who will win the NBA Finals. The updated odds give the Warriors a 77 percent chance to win it all and the Cavs just a 23 percent chance.
This sounds about right compared to what the general narrative is right now from the public. Most aren't giving the Cavs a chance as they have already lauded LeBron James for his accomplishment of dragging this roster to the Finals thanks to some legendary performances so far in the playoffs.
But the Warriors, while favored heavily and for good reason, experienced more challenges in the last round than some expected. The Rockets nearly eliminated them and possibly exposed some serious weaknesses. Also with the chance that Andre Iguodala may be out, the Warriors could have a lot of trouble containing James.
It will be interesting to see how each team comes out in Game 1 on Thursday night at Oracle Arena.
