Brandon Williams hit an awesome personal milestone against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. The Portland Trail Blazers rookie made his first career three-pointer on the evening.
Check out Williams' first triple which gave Portland a 35-33 lead over the Warriors:
However, the TNT broadcast hilariously made sure to steal some of the spotlight by comparing him to Warriors icon and greatest shooter of all-time, Stephen Curry.
One down, over three thousand more to go. The road for Brandon Williams to catch Steph Curry isn't looking great considering the Warriors guard made two threes on the evening to Williams' one. And that's on an off night where Steph just scored 18 points before sitting out of the lopsided blowout.
Brandon Williams had himself a decent showing for a career-high 12 points and two rebounds. The Warriors contest was just the third game of his career. He could get more playing time after the Blazers signed him to a two-way deal.
After showing some early fight in the contest, the rest of the game was all Golden State. Brandon Williams' go-ahead three was the last lead that Portland held as the Warriors used a balanced scoring attack to bury the Blazers. No individual player breached the 20-point mark and all 12 who took the court scored at least five points. They finished with eight players in double-figures.
