The Golden State Warriors will be needing all of their heavy rotation players coming into the 2020-21 season. Luckily for them, they received some good news on Monday as both Draymond Green and James Wiseman participated in practice for the first time.

Both players missed the start of training camp along with a preseason game after reportedly testing positive for COVID-19.

Even so, Green spoke highly of the No.2 pick after practice:

While the signs of Draymond Green and James Wiseman are noteworthy ahead of their season debut on Dec. 22 against the Brooklyn Nets, head coach Steve Kerr has asked for patience for both players as they work their way back into shape. As such, it's highly unlikely that either Green or Wiseman play in the remaining two preseason games against the Sacramento Kings.

The Warriors were still able to hold off a young, formidable squad in the Denver Nuggets during their first preseason game on Saturday. Stephen Curry also appeared to be back to his All-NBA ways after connecting on a couple of 3-pointers while handing out three assists and two steals through 21 minutes of playing time.

Golden State definitely has a challenging season ahead of them. They'll once again be without Klay Thompson, which could be an issue for the Warriors in a Western Conference that has been beefed up in recent months. Thompson suffered an Achilles tear during workouts in November, which will see him out for the entire season.

While they're expected to make the playoffs this year, it'll heavily depend on how far newcomers such as Kelly Oubre Jr. and Wiseman can adjust and slide into Kerr's system.
