The moment is ingrained in every Golden State Warriors fan's memory. It's the 2016 NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavs and the Dubs. Then-Cavs star LeBron James and Warriors forward Draymond Green ended up entangled while chasing after a loose ball, with Green hitting the floor. James then attempted to step over Green, which the Warriors star took exception to. Green swung his arm at LeBron and connected with the Cavs star's groin. The Warriors forward was then suspended for the pivotal Game 5, which the Cavs secured. The suspension is still bothering Green, who is currently sidelined with a back injury. The Warriors star revealed his biggest regret about his 2016 NBA Finals suspension, as reported by Legion Hoops.

Draymond Green believes that he would have won the 2016 NBA Finals MVP were it not for his suspension. Not only that, but the Warriors star also feels that there would be no way to leave him off of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Top 75 team if he had the Finals MVP in his trophy case.

That is quite a bold take from Green, though he was certainly playing well against the Cavs, with 28-plus points in two games and various defensive contributions across the board. Was he playing well enough to take home the Finals MVP trophy if not for his suspension?

That is a take that will certainly draw the ire of many NBA fans, who believe Green is just a tad bit overrated. However, the Warriors star probably likes it that way.

The backlash from fans, and of course, his suspension from the 2016 Finals, are just more things he can add as fire to his fuel.
