Both Draymond Green and Kevin Durant agreed that Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and team general manager Bob Myers were to blame for how they blatantly mishandled Dray and KD's infamous on-court squabble a few years ago. News also spread that in the aftermath of the dust-up, the Warriors forced Green to apologize to Durant. Draymond has now spoken out about this rumor and apparently, it's all true.
Not only did the team demand an apology from Green, but they also slapped him with a one-game suspension for instigating the fight. Dray recently revealed how reacted when he first learned about this, and as one would expect, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year winner didn't exactly take it too well:
“I laughed in their, literally, laughed in their face,” Green said on an exclusive interview courtesy of Bleacher Report.

Safe to say that Green refused to apologize to Durant. It also looks like the Warriors management opted not to have the two hash it out by themselves, which in hindsight, was probably the right thing to do. As Green also noted in the interview, he knew then that the only way this issue was going to be resolved is if he and KD settled it themselves. This clearly did not happen, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Green's reaction to being forced to apologize isn't at all surprising. I mean, did Steve Kerr and Co. really think that they would get an apology out of Draymond Green? Apparently, they did not know their own player well enough.
