Another game was in favor of the opposing team,  and the Golden State Warriors lost their fifth game out of six. The Washington Wizards controlled the evening and shot their way to an upset victory over the Stephen Curryless Warriors.

Many believed once Draymond Green returned to the lineup, the team would get better. Curry got injured his second game back, and it's been mostly downhill since. The Warriors are 2-7 since their defensive guru rejoined the team. But Green only participated in one of the team's wins.

“I've never really been on a team that gets worse when I'm on the floor,” the Warriors forward told ClutchPoints. “That's kind of where we are right now. Some things I can correct, some things will come with time.”

Since returning from injury Green has averaged 4.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. His first night back was with Curry and Klay Thompson by his side against the Wizards. He came off the Warriors bench that night, and Green made an immediate impact on the game as soon as he checked in.

Before the injury, Green was playing some of the best basketball of his career. Players and coaches couldn't help but talk about how much he impacts winning. One coach even said he should be in the MVP conversation.

Now Green is trying to get back to that level of basketball, and it's frustrating because the Warriors are losing. Thompson and others understand what he's going through and believe he's going to bounce back into the player he was before the injury. It didn't happen Sunday night, but it will likely happen soon.
