Friday, the Golden State Warriors defeated Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons. It was the second of a back-to-back, and it was a game without Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, and Otto Porter Jr. This game offered an opportunity for the young players to shine, and one young player did just that. Jordan Poole recorded a game-high 32 points and 7 rebounds.
The Dubs needed every point Poole scored because another off-night would have resulted in the Warriors taking another loss. Since Poole has struggled to find consistency this year, this game could have gone either way. The confident 22-year-old wasn't bothered, though.
“I think every player who comes into the NBA will tell you it's going to be ups and downs. You learn from it, grow from it, and keep it pushing,” Warriors talent Jordan Poole told ClutchPoints.
After scoring a game-high 32 points against the Pistons, Jordan Poole talked about dealing with the ups and downs of his season. "I think every player who comes into the NBA will tell you it's going to be ups and downs. You learn from it, grow from it, and keep it pushing."

The Warriors downed the Pistons 105-102. The game didn't end quite the way they wanted, but they got the job done. In the final minutes of the game, the Warriors almost gave up the lead. The Pistons hung around with scrappy play and being physical. But the Warriors' defense wouldn't allow a complete comeback.
The win was the Warriors' 14th of the season, which is an NBA best. Getting the victory without their superstar is a big deal if you're a Warriors fan. Last season winning a game without Curry was nearly impossible. According to statmuse.com, the Dubs we're 2-7 without him.
Now the Bay Area's team will get a day off as they get some much-needed rest. Protecting home court against the Toronto Raptors is the new task. Hopefully, Curry and other Warriors talents are back on the floor, but we will have to wait and see.
