Just when you thought we could close the chapter on Kevin Durant's social media dust-ups, another one enters the fray and could possibly trigger a new source of viral skirmishes for the Golden State Warriors star forward.

At the heels of LeBron James's shocking announcement (well, widely speculated, but that goes for any big name) of playing four years for the Purple and Gold in a $154 million deal, a tweet by the then-Oklahoma City Thunder, resurfaced on the internet due to its timely content.

At the time of its original posting, Kobe Bryant was still the man and coming off a championship with his familiar support group of Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom, against the upstart Denver Nuggets squad. Tied two games apiece, this one was a rubber match that could very well be the deciding game with its historical effect on the loser's psyche. With the Lakers victorious, it pretty much cemented the team's route to their second straight title.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, on the other hand, were the top seed in the East and hailed by many as a shoo-in for the NBA Finals in a dream match against the Lakers. Unfortunately, the Boston Celtics thwarted those plans by sending the Cavaliers fishing early in just six games of the second round.

Durant's tweet implied that many “fans” are fairweather fans and abandoned Cleveland as soon as they bowed out and now moved on to root for the Lakers who were still in the thick of things.

Of course, with King James crossing over to the Western Conference almost a decade later, it's a funny twist to a tweet that also holds some “burn” considering that the 6-foot-10 Warrior never stuck to one team himself.
