Kevin Durant has talked about his exit from the Oklahoma City Thunder more than a handful of times since choosing to join the Golden State Warriors in the summer of 2016.

Despite his repeated efforts, he's been met with constant criticism, insults, and named “snake,” “coward,” or “cupcake” upon his return to Chesapeake Energy Arena last season.

As the Warriors and Thunder are slated to meet for the first time this campaign, Durant had no more to say on the matter after feeling like he's been spilling words to a brick wall during the past year.

“At this point I'm done trying to convince people that I loved being here, loved playing basketball and loved growing up as a player,” said Durant, according to Fred Katz of The Norman Transcript. “They're not listening right now. So it's time for me to go ahead and stop talking about it right now.”

“Everyone here wants to hear the drama. I'm tired of trying to talk about how much I love basketball and how much I love playing as a basketball player. Eventually someone here will get it.”

It's tough to know if Durant will be forgiven by this rabid fan base in the near future, but his words have done little to alleviate the cut his exit caused in the organization and with the fans after nine years of being the franchise player.
