Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant will miss tonight's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a left thigh contusion, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Durant has played the team's first 11 games without the need to miss time, but he reportedly suffered the injury on Monday in the first quarter of a 97-80 win over the Miami Heat, according to Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News.

The Warriors star forward has only scored 30 points once through the first 11 games of the season, but has also fallen under 20 points once in a 19-point outing during a 141-113 rout of the L.A. Clippers.

His play has been consistent at both ends of the floor, picking up where he left off defensively during his first year with the Warriors.

Durant has logged three or more blocked shots in five of the first 11 games of the season, making his absence a void not only at the offensive side of the ball, but also as one of the last lines of defense for the team — placing that much more of the burden on frontcourt mate Draymond Green. He's currently ranked the second-best shot-blocker in the league with 2.4 rejections per game

The 10-year veteran has posted averages of 24.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, sporting a .530/.464/.860 efficiency line through the early get-go.
