The Golden State Warriors have a lot to look forward to next season with two first-round picks incoming while James Wiseman and Klay Thompson are expected to be healthy.

Initially, it wasn't expected that Klay would be ready to play at the beginning of 2021/22. But apparently, he has been taking enormous steps in the right direction in his Achilles rehab:

That is definitely massive news for the Warriors and Thompson. He's basically two years removed from his last NBA appearance after tearing his ACL initially in the NBA Finals back in 2019.

The Achilles, which he injured last offseason, is a very tricky injury. While he hasn't started 5 on 5 action, the fact that Klay is running up and down the court is a huge step in the right direction.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr also gave some encouraging insight, via The Athletic's Anthony Slater:

I’m really excited. I feel like we got our mojo back at the end of the year. The offseason has been productive in terms of Klay now breaking through. He’s on the court, he’s running, he’s feeling really good. I talked to him last week. He’s just in a completely different mindset. The light’s at the end of the tunnel.

Can you say Splash Brothers reunited? It does sound like that will become a reality sooner rather than later. Thompson now has about three and a half months before the opening game of next season. While it's impossible to predict at this point if he'll suit up in October, the way Klay is feeling is a great sign.
