Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson has passed Jason Richardson (1,608 three-pointers) for 21st place on the NBA's all-time three-pointers list with 1,609 career makes.

If it weren't for his teammate Stephen Curry, we would be calling Klay Thompson the best shooter in NBA history. Entering Saturday, Thompson holds career averages of 19.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 45.8 percent from the field, 41.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 84.9 percent from the free-throw line. The other half of the Splash Brothers will likely go down as a top three shooter of all time when it is all said and done.

Thompson has averaged at least 20 points per game four seasons in a row. He's currently putting up 22.2 points per game this year. The four-time All-Star is also one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, making him a huge asset to Golden State.

Klay Thompson will become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends, but the sharpshooter is likely going to re-sign with the Warriors. Thompson has said many times he wants to retire in Golden State. The Warriors have won back-to-back championships and three out of the last four finals.

The Warriors will have to pay up to re-sign Thompson, who will command a max contract on the open market.
