Drake's allegiance will be truly tested in the NBA Finals.

Everyone knows the rapper, crooner, and overall music mogul has an undying love for his hometown of Toronto, the city to which he commonly refers to as “The Six.” He's been a frequent guest at Toronto Raptors games for years, and has even taken his courtside antics to new level in the playoffs, at one point giving Raptors coach Nick Nurse an impromptu shoulder rub during the Eastern Conference Finals. Drake also watched Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals with fans outside Scotiabank Arena at Jurassic Park, adding to an already raucous environment.

It's no secret who he's rooting for with a championship on the line, but it's safe to say Drake will still try to maintain his relationship with the Golden State Warriors. A notorious frontrunner when it comes to sports fandom, he's grown close with several Warriors since the beginning of their dynasty in 2014-15, frequently name-dropping star players in his songs and even getting the jersey numbers of Steph Curry and Kevin Durant tattooed on his arm.

But with Drake cheering on Toronto, Golden State sharpshooter Klay Thompson will be limiting his listening of The Six God's music to songs with a more upbeat tempo. Why? Thompson, trying for an unprecedented fourth title in five seasons, is in “kill mode.”

“He's a great artist. I’ve listened to him since high school,” Thompson said of Drake, per Ben Golliver of The Washington Post. “If it’s one of his soft R&B songs, I’ll skip it because I’m in kill mode. If it’s ‘Hotline Bling’ I’ll skip it.”

We'll see how truly committed Thompson is to Drake's music if the Raptors are able to dethrone the Warriors.
