SAN FRANCISCO — The 2021 NBA Draft Lottery is on Tuesday, and the Golden State Warriors have a lot at stake. While they have less than a 1% chance of winning the first overall pick, they're also hoping for some lottery luck when it comes to the pick they own courtesy of the Minnesota Timberwolves. If the pick falls outside the top three, the Warriors will keep it.

Anything is possible with the lottery. Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts is the representative for the team at the lottery in one of his final duties with the franchise. The lottery is a game of luck, and some may feel the need to wear lucky socks or underwear to raise their chances of winning mentally.

What will Welts bring as a good luck charm for the Warriors?

“I'm not superstitious, but I figured that I could at least bring the 2015, '17 and '18 championship rings, which I never get to wear,” Welts said Monday.

As Welts continued to address the media about his lack of superstitions, he brought up the Warriors' secret weapon.

“We do have Rocco, though. We have some great social media content with Rocco. Rocco is the organization's good luck charm because he gets to hang out with Klay Thompson every day, which makes him the coolest dog in the world, and he brings happiness wherever he goes. So we're calling Rocco to help here,” Welts humorously shared.

Rocco is a Bulldog with a fascinating life. You might see him hanging out on a boat or assisting Klay Thompson in rehab by allowing him to use him for curls. Now man's best friend is being asked to help with another task.

One thing we have learned about Rocco from social media is he's always up for the challenge. The Warriors are hoping he brings all the luck.
