The DeMarcus Cousins signing sent shockwaves through the NBA. For a while, it overshadowed LeBron James’ signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. But apparently, it didn’t have the same effect on Klay Thompson. According to Ethan Strauss of The Athletic, Klay was MIA when the news broke.
From what I was told, nobody could find Klay. https://t.co/IuqgUmL35x

It must be nice to be Klay Thompson. He’s just won his third championship in four years, he routinely flies under the radar whenever the Warriors get criticized for playing poorly, and he’s clearly tuned out and enjoying his offseason.
It seems like Thompson is living a stress-free life right now. He gets to make his annual trip to China in the offseason. Then he gets to hang out and enjoy his summer. And then whenever the Warriors manage to track him down, he learns that they just acquired yet another All-Star.
Summer Klay is a mood.
Thompson personifies that laid back California mood. The dude just goes out and drops buckets game in and game out. Then he heads home without a care in the world to live his best life. All while playing on one of the most dominant teams in the history of the NBA.
He doesn’t even need to worry too much about recruiting because Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry have that locked down. All Klay needs to do is show up, knock down a bunch of threes, and calmly head home to watch Harry Potter—or whatever else he does with his free time.
Life is good when you’re a Warrior.
