Golden State Warriors playoff hero Kevon Looney is returning to the Dubs on a 3-year, $25.5 million dollar deal, per Adrian Wojnarowski. The big man made a name for himself during Golden State's postseason run and entrenched himself as a Warriors fan-favorite. However, his future was cloudy after the Warriors NBA Finals victory. But the 26-year old is indeed returning to Golden State.

Early reports indicated Looney and the Warriors would be interested in a reunion. He is expected to play a big role once again for Golden State next season.

One has to wonder what this means for the future of oft-injured center James Wiseman. Wiseman possesses a high ceiling but has played in just 39 total games since being drafted in 2020. At just 21 years old, he could become a centerpiece in any potential trades Golden State decides to make.

And if the Dubs decide to hold onto him, they would have a quality big man duo between Kevon Looney and James Wiseman.

As aforementioned, Looney made waves during the postseason. He averaged just under 6 points but grabbed nearly 8 boards per game during the playoffs. His high energy and strong defensive effort were vital to the Warriors' success.

Looney isn't much of a scoring threat. But that's fine given the fact that Golden State features stars like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, etc. Looney's non-scoring contributions do not go unnoticed by the team or fans.

Warriors fans are likely ecstatic to have Kevon Looney back in the fold for the next 3 years.
