Stephen Curry tweaked his left ankle late in their game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. The Golden State Warriors were playing catch-up with a minute left in the game when Curry seemed to have stepped on Patrick Beverley's foot as he tried to get open to bring the ball down.
Curry seemed to be okay though as he was able to stay on his feet and shook the pain away as he completed the possession for the Warriors. It was also a good sign that the former two-time MVP finished the game on the sidelines on his own two feet, although he slightly limped his way to the locker room after the final buzzer.
The Warriors lost, 108-101 to suffer their fourth defeat of the season.
It was a long evening for Curry, and the left ankle issue definitely didn't help. After exploding for 92 points in their previous two outings, including a career-high 62 points against the Portland Trail Blazers, he was brought back to earth against the Clippers as he posted his lowest-scoring night so far this season. He ended with just 13 points on 29.4 percent shooting with the pesky Clippers backcourt being on his case from tipoff.
The entire Dub Nation is hoping that Stephen Curry's left ankle issue isn't anything major. Unfortunately, the sweet-shooting guard has had his fair share of injuries in the past. The Warriors will need him at 100 percent if they want a decent chance to make the NBA Playoffs. They will face the Clippers again on Thursday.
