Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry had NBA Twitter ablaze during a Saturday night showdown against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks, turning in a masterclass 57-point performance. While doing so, the 3-time NBA champion also made multiple records in the process.
Via ESPN Stats & Info, Curry has now turned in his 16th career game with over 10 3-pointers, which is more than three times his Warriors buddy Klay Thompson, who comes in second with five such games in his career. Curry drained 11 triples on Saturday, making it the 9th time he ever did so in a game.
In addition, Curry became just the second player in Warriors franchise history to notch multiple 55-point games in a season. His first one came in the form a 62-point virtuoso earlier in the season in a win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Stephen Curry joins Wilt Chamberlain as the only Warriors players with multiple 55-point games in a season.

Marc Spears of ESPN also pointed out that Saturday marked the eighth 50-point game of Curry's illustrious career with the Warriors. This tied New York Knicks legend Bernard King for no. 11 on the all-time list for 50-point nights.

Despite his insane performance, the Warriors still ended up on the losing column. Golden State came up just short in the end as the Mavericks came out on top, 134-132, avenging their 31-point loss to this same Dubs team a couple of nights ago.
Curry had it going throughout the entire game for the Warriors, dropping 30 points through the first 24 minutes of action.
The Mavericks had control through most of the second half, but the two-time league MVP's efforts valiantly kept them in it. Unfortunately, his heroics weren't enough to plow the Warriors to back-to-back wins over Dallas.
Certainly, this classic would have been much sweeter for Curry had the Warriors recorded their 13th win of the season.
