The start of the NBA regular season is quickly approaching. At this point, the Golden State Warriors still have one spot available on their roster. There are currently a handful of players who are vying for the 15th roster spot for the coming season, and it looks like Stephen Curry has just spilled the beans on the Dubs' plans.
Curry recently spoke to the media. One of the topics that was discussed was the arrival of veteran Avery Bradley in San Francisco. Steph had nothing but praise for the 30-year-old combo guard (h/t Anthony Slater of The Athletic):
“I’ve always called him a bulldog,” Curry said, via Anthony Cal III of Warriors Wire. “Everybody asks, ‘who are some of the toughest defenders you’ve had?’ and he’s the first guy that comes to mind. Just because he’s relentless, he’s physical, he’s quick, He’s got good awareness of not just on-ball defense, but team defense as well. He’s shown not only the skill set, but the commitment to it.”
After talking so highly about Bradley, Curry then revealed that the two-time NBA All-Defensive Team member currently has the inside track on that 15th spot for the Warriors:
“I think that’s why he’s here,” Steph said.
Aside from Bradley, Golden State also signed Langston Galloway for training camp. He will likely be in contention for the 15th roster spot along with Mychal Mulder and Gary Payton II. If you ask Curry, though, it looks like his money's on Avery Bradley.
