Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry damn near gave Dubs Nation a heart attack early in the first quarter against the Denver Nuggets at Chase Center on Friday.

Around the nine-minute mark of the opening period, the two-time NBA MVP appeared to tweak his angle following a pass. He looked like he was in pain upon landing, as he gingerly sprinted back on defense. Here's the exact play shared by Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Although he refused to leave the game at first, Curry was yanked by the Dubs coaching staff off the game and had his foot checked out. The three-time NBA champion guard then headed back to the locker room, much to the horror of Warriors fans.

Prayers were answered when Curry returned to the bench and checked himself back to the ball game shortly. The issue apparently was regarding the tape job on his foot and was not an injury scare.

Given Stephen Curry's extensive history with ankle issues in the past, it's always a bothersome sight every time he displays the slightest discomfort on his feet. Before he became the superstar that he is today, a lot of pundits were already writing him off due to those ankle concerns.

Don't scare us like that again, Steph!
